Our Story.

Pure Loaded started because we decided it was time to build something of our own.

One Geordie who grew up in Wallsend, one "adopted Geordie" who's lived in Heaton since he was 4.

We'd both been passionate about food since childhood and went on to build careers as professional chefs, working in high-profile restaurants as well as cooking abroad, and with over 25 years experience between us, we wanted the freedom to create food on our own terms.

The idea behind Pure Loaded came from combining two things that matter to us: where we come from and where we've been.

Growing up in Newcastle upon Tyne gave us a love for local food, which is why the stottie sits at the heart of the menu. Our travels around the world provided the other half of the inspiration, bringing flavours and ideas from international dishes back home and giving them a Pure Loaded twist. Stotties also just so happen to be an excellent bread for getting loaded with filling.

The name "Pure" represents freshness, quality ingredients and a commitment to using locally sourced produce wherever possible, and "Loaded" means bold flavour, generous portions and food that does not hold back.

Pure Loaded is independently owned and built around a simple idea: serve food that is generous, creative and full of flavour.
